What a great place. I just stumbled on it by accident and started reading on some of the forum topics. This is just what I need. I've always taken pictures, but wouldn't call myself a photographer. I'm working on that part now. My wife bought me a Canon T2i (gotta love that woman) and I've been going nuts. I know there is a lot to learn and my old brain is on overload, but I will keep at it until I get it right. I will appreciate crituque from anyone as long as the spirit it is given in is for learning. Some times the way I see something might be different than the way someone else sees it. Enough rambling...I hope to enjoy my time here very much.

welcome, I would call you a photographer. the colors are vibrant in the first shot. the deiting of your neice and the use of black and white is very well done. You will find this is a nice site made up mostly of generaly friendly people who do want to help, with amazing level of talent. poat more of your shots good luck :thumbup:

WooHoo!!! somebody already commented :D . Thanks for the kind words, it helps to know I'm starting out on the right foot. The picture of my neice is actually cropped out of a picture of her floating out in the swimming pool.
