Just returned from trip to Destin. A newbie, I'd Appreciate critique on pictures from the experts.

I'm no expert, but I prefer #2. The placement of the horizon is more dramatic, and the foreground interest is much more prominent, a lot stronger. The colours look a bit more saturated too, without being overdone. You might try cropping out the bit of grass at the right edge. Nice.

Both are shot I would have taken. In situations like these I check the sky. A few clouds add a touch of interest.

Thank you for the comments. Used to live in Destin, but only visit occasionally now...for golf! Beautiful area...
