Every time I login to UHH there is an ad for Adobe which appears. This popup is for a phony website and puts a virus in your computer. Just wanted members to know not to click on this website.
No such pop-up ads appear when I log in.
Thank you. I have had that pop-up several times and was mad at Adobe. Glad to hear it wasn't them.
The only way to get it off the screen is to close that page on your browser and then reopen UHH. Again, being overly suspicious has saved the day. I never open anything I'm not sure about, so didn't open this one either.
Again, thanks for letting us know.
These pop ups depend on what you do online with your computer, so no two users get the same exact stuff. Best idea for any website is you go to them, don't respond when they come to you.
Computer guy here. Make sure the popup blocker is on in your browser. Get a legitimate copy of Malwarebytes, the free version is fine. Run it weekly. Anything it finds, click the Quarantine All button, it is very conservative. I get software at
www.filehippo.com. Even there, you need to be careful to only click the Download Latest Version button, there are other buttons there that might download something sketchy. You need to be really on your guard these days!

Many thanks. Your alert is much appreciated.
Get adblock and you won't have to worry about it.

Why aren't you using AdBlock Pro or other similar FREE add-ons that work on both IE and Chrome that prevent all those troublesome pop-ups?
The flash player ad only comes up when I'm in the photo gallery. I downloaded Adblock, and when I went to install, had a pop-up about upgrading to the latest version of Adblock. Seemed kinda strange to me to be getting an ad for something before I even installed it. I didn't get the latest version, didn't install, so now I still get the bogus flash player crap.
