That's weird because all the camera sites that I have done business with still say Pre-Order and the release date is to be March 31, 2012.
I know there are other sites that say pre-order....but, apparently, DigitalRev has them in stock, ready to be shipped out. To see if it was legit, I went through the order process today, Feb. 17th, and it said that the camera would arrive to me somewhere between the 20th and 22nd. Cost of it on their site is $869.00---but that includes shipping. I'm merely relating what DigitalRev's website says.
Oh, I wasn't doubting you. Just that no one else seems to have it. Even the Canon site still says pre-order. However, I did click the pre-order button and it says ship date 2-22. If that's the case why don't they just remove the pre-order button. One nice thing about the camera is the articulating screen. The G12 has it and I love it.
I have looked at the reviews previously on different sites. I became aware of the GX 1 right after I purchased the G12. At first I was bummed but I got it new on sale for 399 and the the GX-1 is double that so I am no longer bummed. I wonder if the warranty is US due to their 'connections'.
I just clicked the link again to see what it might say about the warranty. The page content has changed in the past several hours. When I first looked at it; it was an order page for the camera. Now it is some dude giving a review on the camera. He's lame.
