Ritz Camera, has some used camera equipment I would like to have. Is it safe to buy from them? It was a online store I was looking at.
THANK YOU
Racerman
they have stone an motar stores across the country
I believe Ritz to be legit. See if a toll-free phone number is on the ad. Give 'em a call.
Ritz is a good store to buy from. I used to like it a lot til the local stores here dropped or got dropped by Canon.

Hi Ibought my Pentex Flash there and no problems .I bought other things there to I like the store
Ritz is fine and is an authorized Nikon Dealer. I bought a refurbished Nikon D7000 from them a Month ago that came with a 1 year Nikon Warrenty and Ritz included a 3 year additional Warrenty for free. Cheaspest price I could find on a Refurbished Model and the camera looked brand new and had all the up to date software installed.
Smoooth transaction, curtious and helpful phone staff and great e-mail communication!

I have made several purchases from them with no problems.
Ritz is a stand-up business. They can be a bit pricey, but they will stand behind their products.
they are legit if you can get someone to wait on you..good luck
I have purchased from Ritz and have never had a problem. I the past I have found them to be a little bit higher on price.

http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Ritz_Camera_7I didn't believe you at first and went and checked, you're right of course...can't believe that as at one time they weren't a bad choice....hmmmm. Did you see that they even now refuse to participate ?

I've never used Ritz but I have used Adorama in NYC. I've traded in different pieces of equipment and get a fair price if I'm buying something. I could probably get more money if I sold my equipment myself but that's a hassle for me.
They pay all the shipping and insurance to ship equipment UPS Ground for evaluation.
If you go to their web site you should find a button to the used dept.
Good luck, Alan

http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Ritz_Camera_7Some of the feedback on Reseller Ratings is down right scary!
Personally, I've been dealing with BHPhotoVideo for quite a while (Resellers Rating of 9.83/10.0). I've purchased a LOT of equipment from these guys over the last few years and they're first rate. It's all handled out of New York (no language barrier if you don't count the NY accent, lol). The Sales, Customer Service & Technical Reps are all very knowledgeable and eager to please.
I bought my Canon 5D MKII body, lenses and flashes from them along with my Sony NEX-5/5N bodies, lenses, flash and OLED viewfinder. I've also purchased some video & miscellaneous items (tripods, flash cards, batteries, etc). I have never had a problem with any of these transactions. I always receive an e-mail with a tracking number and all items were delivered on the stated due date.
I've also sold used equipment to them and in most cases, received a check or store credit (my choice) for the amount quoted over the phone. In one instance, I actually received a higher amount.
Chances are if Ritz has your used equipment, BH will have it as well. Check them out. They have a used department tab as well.
