Have been watching the SX50 for some time, waiting for it to go on sale. Local Best Buy doesn't have them at all anymore and Walmart was down to their last one at $349.99. Had checked at Target last week and they still had regular price. Went in again yesterday and they had it marked down to $364.99. Decided that if I really wanted one, I was going to bite the bullet and go ahead. When the clerk scanned it, the price came to $214 less a 10% discount because it was the display model, bringing it down to $198.00. Needless to say, I came away very happy.
Several members reported deals like this previously, but when I ask about matching it in the local stores, they would not because I didn't have proof. I am attaching a copy of my receipt so any of you can use it as needed.

However, if you had used the Target charge card, you would have paid $183.81 with their 5% discount, and the return period would have been extended. Then you take that cash you paid and pay off the camera when you get the bill.

I remember when they used to print the whole CC number on the receipt. Fortunately, they stopped doing that.

Went to look at a Sony 6000 at Best Buy yesterday. They had them for 100 off, 599.00. Guy went to check availability and came back and said they only had a return for 454.00. This camera is brand new with a full warranty and 16-50 lens. 55-210 lens was 249.00 as a package deal. Feel pretty good about the deal. I've found nothing on line that was better. Also got 0% for 24 months.

The SX60 is hot! I picked one up on the display shelf at Sam's Club, had the umbilical cord but fully functional. Macro and tele are great. At $349, I would have got this.

I would pay cash as well at Target. Had my debit card compromised twice in a month last Christmas at Target! Congratulations on a good buy!
