Freedom Tower

Took these images from the Hoboken side of the Hudson in August 2012, while the tower was being constructed. Had begun working to improve on composition, so snapped several different angles with my little Canon Power Shot A590 IS. Settings were 1/800, F: 4, ISO 100. Will appreciate feedback on preferences and why.

Thanks much.

You'll have better luck getting comments if you post this in the Critique section. Also, check the "Upload original" box so people can get a closer look. Hope this helps. My only comment is I would make sure your shot is level. It might be an illusion with the curved rail, but the shoreline looks off a bit to me.

Too much forground and the posts on the right are a distraction as is the grabage can. Tighter cropping might help.
I do like the pattern on the boardwalk though.

I would crop right part of the picture to remove destructing poles ans people on the benches and part of the sky following rules of thirds and level. This is MHO.

Thanks for your comments. Actually, there were supposed to be three images, but, apparently, I did something wrong. Will try to post the other two, as this one was, in my opinion, the least of the three.

Hoping that the other two will be attached to this reply

Work on captureing bettering lighting and contrast. This pic has flat (dull) lighting. Seems soft (not sharp) too. Try tripod, steadier position, greater depth of field (f8. - f11), or all the above.

Curved deck is a good foreground lead-in element composition
wise.
