I was able to close within 30 to 50 feet of these beautiful creatures this morning.

These are great photos of beautiful horses. I had the pleasure of photographing some of the wild horses of Corolla on the Outer Banks this past spring and that was a real treat.

I don't see these horses of the Outer Banks on your picture list. You must post them!

Lovely. I was able to take pictures of the wild horses of Corolla as well this past spring! I hope you post some of your pictures. I only had one that I really liked and I will post it at some time.

How do you like your D7000 BarbM? I was considering getting a used D7000.

I love it! I have had it for over a year and am super happy with the pictures I get. The ones that don't come out the way I want tend to be because of user error.

Nice shot! Love the dune and the horse's tail.

Thanks Cliff - in the original (or at least before I downloaded it here), it seemed to be lighter. :)

I will post the better ones when I get home. My avatar is actually one of the horses I captured.

I love seeing that dark beauty on the left of image 2. It would look stunning isolated in that light colored foliage. I'm enjoying your posts.

The second set is much better. I like the subject matter but I 'm not sure why you have such an orange cast to the first set. Was the white balance off or did you do that on purpose to add character?
