Amazon: Free App of the Day - Elements of Photography Pro

Today (Nov5) on the Amazon App Store (Android) you can get decent photography app for Free, normally it's $3.50.

It's called Elements of Photography, I have downloaded it and went through all of the tutorials and reference tables. It is very comprehensive covering everything from the focal length to flash photography. I think it would be a great app for the beginner photographer who would like all of the pertinent information of photography in very concise and easy to read tutorials. Even amateurs and pros may like it even it's just for the 3 reference tables it has; DOF Calculator, EV Tables, and Stop Tables.
I did have trouble with the dropdown menu appearing to select my sensor (for the DoF Calculator) but I restarted the app and it worked. A little buggy but I think the information you can get for free is worth it.

The permissions listed on the App Store are not the same as the installed permissions, it could be a typo on Amazon's part. The installed permissions are:

Storage: Write to SD Card
Storage: Read SD Card
Network: Create Network Sockets
Network: Google Play purchase and license check.

Jim, I found it no problem at all, Dl'ed and installed.
The only item I can open is "Basic Interactions".
Even from the start button there is only very limited "stuff" available, before I get the message that something needs to be unlocked - for which you then have to pay the $3.50

Edit: Found my mistake: I DL'ed from the App Store.
Had to delete that installation, then install the Amazon App Store and DL the E of P from there. Bit of a hassle and waste of time, but my own fault.
It seems to be working now!
Thanks for sending the info about this App.

Did you download it from the Amazon App Store - Free App of the Day or from the Google Play store?

For those that may not know, the Amazon App Store is a 3rd party app from Amazon that needs to be downloaded from their website. It is similar to the Google Play Store but is separate from it.
To install the Amazon App Store and any apps downloaded from it you will need to enable a setting in your phone/tablet.
Settings > Security > Unknown Sources (check this box)

I usually enable this setting only to install an app I want from Amazon then disable it after the installation is complete.

The cool thing about the Amazon App store is the home page has a Free App of the Day that changes daily. Sometimes they are really great apps yet sometimes they are junk.
