This program is supposed to significantly reduce the size of JPEG files while maintaining resolution. Anyone ever used it?

Thanks.

Never heard of it. Besides, JPG doesn't change the file's resolution. Resolution stays the same but JPG removes redundant similar pixels during encoding, and replaces them with simulated "fake" pixels that aren't quite the same when the picture is decoded. This is the JPG deterioration one sees. Every time JPG is opened, edited, and saved, deterioration occurs at least a little bit.

I regularly convert 3600X2400 pixel 25MB TIFFs into 2MB JPGs with the "high quality" compression setting of "11" in Photoshop CC for my work and they're plenty clear to create beautiful 8X10s. When I create 2250X1500 files for another similar use, they are typically less than 500KB using the same method in Photoshop. How much smaller do we need to get?

And then again, is this thing compatible with other normal JPEG decoders so you can open the files everywhere or does the receiving party have to use JPEGmini too? If so, that's a big problem...
