New Mark 2 raw file issues

I have ordered and expect to get my new 7D Mark2 tomorrow!
So excited!
But another photographer friend just sent me a note saying some programs won't recognize the mark 2's raw files!
Is this true? What do I do now!
I use a Mac and use Lightroom and PhotoShop CC!
I know some of you already have your cameras already so can you tell me if this is an issue?

Just work raws in the supplied software, until an upgrade becomes available!

Or do like I did ...... set to .jpg only until Camera Raw 8.7 is released.

Save the RAWs as files in a folder set aside for later.
Use the enclosed Canon software to convert a copy set to the format you want to work in.
Import that copy set into your editing software and work on them.
When the new software update allows direct import you can work from the RAW folder you saved, but in the meantime you are still in business.
I may be paranoid but I save a RAW folder anyway and only work with copies. Later I go back and delete all the losers to save drive space.

Just got hit by reality. 7D mkII has dual cards, shoot RAW+JPEG and save them to different cards. It will write slower, but... You can work from the JPEG card for now and save/copy etc. the RAW card.

The 7D2 is a major new camera offering which will appeal to many advanced Lightroom users, I suspect a LR upgrade supporting it will be available fairly soon.

Gemlenz, through Amazon. One of the camera shops they listed that was nearby, had them!
