Our high school kids put on a fall musical every year. They work for months at it, and they are very professional. This is my first attempt at taking photographs in this sort of venue. It was very low light, no flash allowed, I had to stay in my seat and keep down so I wouldn't bother anyone behind me. I used my 100mm. I thought about my 150-500, but it only stops down to F5.0 and it may have been too long anyway. I was also worried it would be a bother to other people around me because of it's size.
ISO 400
F/2.8
1/100 second exposure
LIttle Sally and Supporting Cast
Nice group shot.
I echo all my previous comments about the capabilities of the modern camera equipment.
I don't like the black "stage" along the bottom though.

I suppose I should have cropped that ...
Looks like the 100 mm was enough. Well done.
Ol' Frank, you have posted in the Photo Critique Section, and I do welcome your participation but could you please tell why you think it's well done? Per Section rules, please.
Thank you very much for you kind comment. :-)
I find that all the photos are a little on the dark side.. The skin tones are off just a little bit..They are quite sharp even with the low light..

The sharpness of the people's features is very good although a little dark for my liking. I don't think I would change anything. A little cropping might be in order though.
Yes, Frank ... I agree .. I've already brightend a bit and cropped off the stage. :-)
