Downtown Salem, MA is the place to be on "HALLOWEEN"! If you want to see creative people in their fine dress ware. Visit Salem on Halloween you'll LOVE it.
My opinion is to make your photos at night. You can roam all you want and just snap away. There's quite a bit of heavy people though, crowds and crowds all over. And so are the photos!
Hear's some keepers of my capture from Friday October 31, 2014 "HALLOWEEN".

Jimmy, You chose the wrong word to describe Halloween. Only in your mind you chose redundant. You are missing plenty of feelings that others enjoy on this day. Especially young children.
For them, it's a day they can be excited and become actors in their little minds. Dress as they wish and let others guess who they are, to make believe and have fun and not hurt others.
This day Halloween, is a special day that many love and every year it becomes better and more creative! I find it hard to believe a person of your age to pass judgment on Halloween using the word, "REDUNDANT"! Shame on you . . .
Maybe next October 31, 2015, you can clean the dust off your digital camera and make some fine pictures of the creative people in your neighborhood who love to dress in their creative wares to show off to you their skills!
Look at my Halloween photos again - creativity is written all over!
RESPECTFULLY,

Sorry to see you've lost the magic of Halloween. Getting old physically is something we all have to live and deal with as it's out of our control, but getting old mentally is something thats just plain unnecessary and mostly self imposed.

Anthony, All really great shots... Thanks
As a fellow disabled person (though thru much less heroic means) I also wish to thank you for your service to the country and wish you much success in all your endeavors.

SNiker, thank you for the kind words. That redundant guy should not have said what he did. And I was kind in my response. Hope he better understands.
It shows there are people that have no respect for others having a good time at their work in photography and loving it.
Here are two photos I made in country, HUE RVN 1968 about 40mi N. of Da Nang. The little boy I picked up and put him on the Honda and made one photo. The second photo was made on the Perfume River with my new Minolta SRT 101 using Kodak TRI-X ASA 400 b&w film. AP
