Thanks Nikonian72! I have been watching the True Macro-Photography forum and reading the critiques. I will try to submit some but I can tell you it is pretty intimidating the shots that are being submitted in that forum. I appreciate you looking.

How do you get the camera settings from the pics that are submitted?

There are a few programs that extract Exif info from images. I use a Firefox add-on: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fxif

Thanks Dixiegirl. I have a lot of work to do to get it right but I am not going to stop trying! I am still trying to do a better job balancing dof, with shutter speed while hand holding the camera....pretty tricky. The 105 lens does not have much dof when shooting from less than a foot no matter what the f stop is.
