Audie, where did you find some purple thistle? We have it here but it is a pale sad comparison to yours. Like the grasshopper too. You probably already know this but those are complimentary colors on the wheel. You did great. If you know where I can get some seed from that thistle let me know. Thanks

It grows wild here in Kansas. I will do some checking and find out when seed s are ripe for picking. (If you really want some).

Definitely want some! I grow wildflowers as well as the usual perennials and annuals. Many wildflowers are host plants for various butterflies. I collect seeds from the fields here or alongside the highway. Found some false Foxgloves that are really attractive and are a host plant for Buckeye butterflies.
