Here's what 40 MPH winds do on the SW corner of Lake Michigan. Keep in mind the sea wall at the marina is at least 20 feet higher than the lake.....Usually. Check out the windsock. Taken with my new Sigma 150-600mmSport.

I'm from the Chicago area, that's why I moved to Texas! What focal length were they taken at? Handheld? You must be pretty well built, if so! That's one big lens...

The first 3 were handheld, 600mm out on the binwall of the marina(out in the lake). The last 3 were about 175, I think, shot from the 4th floor of an elevated parking lot, Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN., next to the marina. I was sitting in my GMC with the lens resting on my half-open drivers window. Wind gusting up to 60. Blowing everything around. Had to time shots between gusts.

Wow! That's really scary, Don! They showed some of those waves on tv on the Weather Channel! Yep, guess that seagull got blown all over!
