I shoot HH off a (rifle) bi-pod V. PP w/PsE8.

Gene, you did great on every one of those photos. It is one of the best series of shots I have seen on UHH. Well done.

Gene M, Number 3 & 4 are your keepers. If one should stand by itself #4 is the pick. It's stronger than the other four, and, has much to say! GOOD JOB! AP, Past freelance SPORTS Photographer, 15yrs.

:D I feel the same about 3 & 4. Thank you so much for picks and comments, Anthony. I'm fattered by them coming from someone with your experience.

My son is the coach and I only shoot for him. I make posters from pics we choose and he presents them to the girls when they have their end of season banquet.

Thanks for looking.

:-) Thank you, Don. When he first took the job, my son asked me to video the games so he could use them for training. We got an enthusiastic mom who did the videos and I shot stills, concentrating on who had the ball. Eventually, I got lots of pics and we decided on the posters for Seniors and those who made the All Star team. We also give 4x6 pics to all others on the team. The giggles and smiles make it worth the effort.

Thanks for commenting and looking.

These are really well shot. You've also made me rethink using the continuous shooting mode. I'm often overwhelmed by the number of shots I have to go through to upload, but these obviously made it worthwhile. Do the players buy your shots?

Hi Vicki - I realize the number of shots I get shooting continuous are many, but its worth it when I find that one shot that makes the grade. I lucked out on this sequence. At 5-fps, which my 50D shoots, these are the only pics I got of this play. (I use HS when shooting flying eagle pics, too.)

Nobody buys the pics. I shoot lots of pics as I follow the action, and my son and I - mostly I - decided on which to use on posters for Seniors and those who made the All Star team. He presents them at their sports banquet. We also give 4x6 pics to all others on the team. The giggles and smiles make it worth the effort.

I've had parents of my grand-daughter's team mates buy pics when she played soccer and softball several years ago. When my grandson played in HS, my daughter shot a season's worth of pics of soccer and baseball one year, and produced a set of CDs full of pics which the parents bought. It was something they agreed to at the beginning of the season. I couldn't be at every game but she was always there so she had the task. She shoots quite good pics.

I have several posts in the Sports section. Have a look when you have time.

Glad you like these. Thanks for asking and looking.
