it's kind of weird that you are almost required, certainly coerced to a degree to show your face, when in public.

It is only for reasons of security. Nobody wearing a bike helmet is allowed into a bank in Oz, because it would be difficult to ID him/her in the event of a hold up. However, a Muslim woman can walk in with nothing but half her eyes showing. How do we know that under the burqa is not a slimly built male terrorist. Doesn't sound right to me.

It should be respect the rules of the country you come to
