SOLD!! I'm selling my version II 70-200mm lens that I bought back in June this year. It's in mint condition because it has seen little usage. It comes with carrying bag, hood and mount and original packaging.

I have not posted this on Ebay; They are trending for $1,900. I'll let it go for $1,800 with Paypal and US shipping included.

My Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L II rode in the trunk of my car for about a year, unused. From everything I had read, that particular lens is one of the best that Canon has ever crafted. About a month ago I decided enough was enough and mounted it on my 7D, then went hunting. I'm glad I kept it. Without a doubt, it gave me more resolution than any of my other lens. I shot a reenactment with it up at Ticonderoga, using the Canon 2X extender, and it performed beautifully. Please consider this sale carefully. You are about to sell a masterpiece of glass, one that I would urge you to hold on to with a firm grip.

Yes it is a superb lens, but it's not a piece of art. I can't justify keeping gear I'm not getting enough use out of.

IF I had the money I'd drop it on this lens in a heart beat. This is my #1 item on my list of equipment I need to get in order to add additional aspects into my portfolio and get my business going. Time to go recycle some soda cans I guess.

I have this very lens, and use it for both sports (I shoot for Arizona State Baseball) and portraits. It is a killer lens! You sure you want to part with this baby?

For those of you Canon folks who do not have this lens, sell one of your children and buy this one! 😊

George - would you please mark "Sold" in the thread title? I keep coming back to the posting and the 9th reply still says, "SOLD." :^(
