You seem to have a good idea of what you wanted. Taking out the fuzzy cars in favore of the more subdued greys was an excellent choice.

I like the first one, but the second one makes the horses 'pop' a little more. Good job.

Thanks Texasdan

That is what I was hoping it would do for the horses

If you're going to do it, consider a different background color, one that does not conflict with the grey of the horse. An easy option is to take a clean back plate while at the event and place the horses in it. Another is to pull from stock, something like a path, trees, etc. Cheers. S-

I personally like the gray background. My eyes are still led to the horses. I don't think the gray hurts too much. Maybe could be a little lighter gray. Great job of putting in a new background. Now that you have got your feet wet with the layers, you are in for a lot of fun and many hours of play. Keep up the good work and have a GREAT DAY!

As far as it's being the first time you've worked with layers, I think you did an admirable job. Replacing the background with something more natural looking is just the next step. I'm behind you in these efforts, but we keep on trying, don't we?

I agree with you. The gray makes the horses stand out and I did not like the busy background. I feel it improved the the picture. It may not have been the best choice for the background but I like the outcome
