Yeah I guess their trying to get people to buy version 3 before they release lightroom 4 and no one wants 3 anymore. I wonder what the upgrade fee is

I've tried the V4 beta and I have V3 and I'm sticking with V3 for now.

the new features in V4 aren't enough to make me want to shell out cash.

With that said...V3 at 79.00 is a steal..and it's not just "yesterdays software" it's very very good.

LR 3.0 will upgrade for free to 3.6 once installed. I love the program and have been a 4.0 Beta user and don't see a great deal of change since I don't do video which 4.0 will process. It'll be quite a while before I step up to anything else. I have an old Photoshop 7.0 which I seldom use. I use LR all the time to process.

I have been satisfied using iPhoto for enhancing my photos. Perhaps I need more. Is there a real learning curve to Lightroom 3?

If you have ANY darkroom experience or understanding of developing film then you will do fine. LR is VERY intuitive...much more than PS or PSE.

It's now backordered, but same price if ordered today, must be coming out with Lightroom 4 for this price.
