Like the setting and the pose, love that the baby is looking at Mom. Lighting across the faces seems very uneven to me but it may look better in download.

I love this photo and am by no stretch of the imagination a photographer...but IF I did anything differently, I would put you and the young girl next to you on the left with hand still on your shoulder, and the woman and other little girl on the right with hand still on her shoulder, and you still holding the baby. Love that the baby is looking at mom.

I love the composition but on my monitor the photo looks a bit dark. Maybe it is the dark wooden background. Otherwise it is great.

Your main light (camera left) is too close to the group and too far back. The result is the girl at the far camera right is shaded by Dad and is receiving light only from the fill light (camera right). Suggest main light be brought out to about a 45 degree angle from the group so that the light is hitting all subjects and that all eyes of the subjects are being lit by that main light. Moving the girl at far camera right more towards the camera and out of the shade of Dad would also help.

Rule of thumb in portraits is never to crop a subject at a joint, as you have done by cutting off the feet of the girl at camera left.

Girl at camera left appears to have had her hand placed on Mom's shoulder by the photographer as it does not look relaxed and natural, as does Mom's hand on the girl's leg.
Because you have not checked (store original) when you posted, it is impossible to see if everyone is in perfect focus which can be a challenge in group shots. Having all subjects on the same plane makes lighting easier and helps achieve more even focus as well.

On the positive side, great expressions, everyone looking at camera not always as easy as it sounds . . . good job!

Hope that helps . . . .

I agree it's a nice group shot might need more lighting from the right side.

Would have to disagree with this idea. More light from the right side will not correct the wrong placement of the main light. When placed properly, a fill light, although helpful, is not necessary.

Love the composition and the message. It looks underexposed to me. That can be fixed on post.

As already stated, the photo is a bit dark. That is an easy fix, however. Mom looks like she's gripping the little girl's leg; dad's head is in the cross member of the "X". The expressions on the faces are awesome - very nice smiles! Dad's sweater is a little too dark - and also as stated, love the baby looking at mom! Merry Christmas!!!
