Nice pictures; first one's a stunner.
Well done. You captured not only the photograph but the essence of old time train travel.

Thanks! It took a lot of shooting to get a couple of good ones!

There were close to 40 of us shooting so it was a challenge to get just the right position to shoot! But I managed a few I like! Thanks!
I enjoyed them all and especially the way you presented them. Starting at the top as I was sweeping down through the cloud of steam the locomotive is coming right at me as the track guides it off to my right. The first shot grabbed me, but they were all great! I could hear Johnny Cash in the background...

Thanks for pointing out the video. It was great and really pulled me into your shooting experience! Then I got pulled into the other photos on your Flicker page. I made it to the cow train and decided to bookmark it for later. Now...as TucsonCoyote asked..tell us more about the redhead..if you can.
Fantastic shots especially the first. My dad spent 42 years on RR from station boy to dispatcher of major Michigan traffic area. He took me to see the last steamer go by, earth shaking majestic raw power, each with a personality; diesel-electric are without character, they with only a whine and humm.
