I am new to the photo business and trying to learn all I can. I had taken some pictures for a friend and emailed them with no problem. I recently just took some again and this time the were huge by the time she got them and it took forever. I have looked and can't seem to find a place to permanently downsize the photo automatically. I was using Picasa 3 but switched to Photoscape cause it has more options.
Also I have a Canon Rebel and I normally shoot actions shots so I leave it on sports setting. I haven't made any other adjustments but the color always needs enhanced a little any suggestions?

For resizing photos Google PIXresizer, super simple freeware. I use it all the time.

For post processing I like Elements, but other folks like other programs.

Thank you so much for your reply I will try it. Does it automatically resize them or is it a manual one? I may even look at Elements too.

You can do single photos or batch processing. You tell it where to find the photos, how long to make the longest side (I like 800 pixels for emailing), and where to put the photos after resizing. I usually make a subfolder in the main folder named 'E' so I know they are sized for emailing, clever no?

After you download the program it is self explanatory, it is dead simple to use.

Report back with your experience but I think you'll like PIXresizer.

Take a look at Irfanview (free). Press Ctrl-R and resize. Very fast.

It appears that it is not for Mac's. Just to let you know.

I use photorazor.com for resizing. Simple and easy to use. Do a whole batch or single photo. Creates it's own folder labeled smaller or you can type your own label name on it.
