The campaign for Kitty Council is in full swing. Martian is running hard for Bumpy's old position, Grand Panjandrum, but faces a formidable challenge from Geezer's Tippit.
Martian has been out on a whistle-stop tour of the area, shaking hands, kissing babies, and making all sorts of absurd promises to the voters.
The crowds have been small and apathetic, as they've heard it all before.

Ahhhh...reminds me of when I was on the campaign trail one time...speeches, shaking hands, touring the woods and garbage dumps, making promises I couldn't..(and didn't intend to keep!)..and I was well on the road to victory, but my downfall was that when kissing babies, I couldn't tell at what age they weren't babies anymore!...(my idea was at around 25 or so....!)....if a female walked by and someone said.."Oh baby"..I kissed em!!....well I lost in a landslide....(but I had a smile on my face through the whole campaign!!!)

Thanks, ACS. Glad you liked it. And Martian's not really wiser, as his botched attempt to conquer Rhode Island proved, just a month or two ago, when he still was Minister of Mayhem.
As Grand Panjandrum of the Kitty Council, he'll have a leg up on a new try for world domination, which is why I and most of the cats here are hoping Tippit wins the election.
