Sheila, I'll bet it's the same camera with a different cover on it, that's how they get 3x as much for it!
You DO know, if you take identical watches and sell one to $50 and one for $100 you will always sell the $100 watch way more often.
I mean, Nikon does it ALL the time. They take the same exact camera, change nothing, but an "s" after the name and Nikonuts line up to spend more money!! 👻 📷 :lol: :shock:

To be fair, the 1DX has a bigger sensor that probably costs $1.25 more per unit to manufacture.

Although that was indeed the initial report from Canon Rumors and other sites, if you look at the camera on Amazon today it states... "This item will be released on October 30, 2014."
On the B&H site they say... "will ship beginning Thu, Oct 30"
Adorama states... "First Canon delivery date expected November, 2014"
So as of right now, B&H seems to be the only one saying the first batch will actually go out Oct. 30.
The others seem to be hedging their bets.
