I had to go out of town today on a job and the sun came out for about 30 minutes. I took a couple shots of the South side of the Crazy Mountains in Sweetgrass County, Montana. (Yes, the one the Everly Brothers sang about). Hope you like them.

The Crazies are a stand-alone little mountain range in central Montana just North of I90 between Big Timber and Livingston. They are surrounded by plains.
They got their name from the old fur-trappers. It was said that if you ventured into them, getting out could drive you crazy! LOL

Thanks Cyn. I live an hour from these mountains but drive by them all the time. Getting the sun on them in the winter is rare as they tend to produce their own clouds, very similar to Mt. McKinley (Denali) in Alaska.

I cropped the pano out of a standard shot. Rule of thirds told me I should leave a large part of the sky. Kind of liked it that way so I kept it.
The second was just to show the difference from the Oly at 28mm and the 400mm that I use for wildlife on my D90.

Absolutely stunning! Amazing colors on the first one, and sooo tack sharp! Great color on the second one too. Almost monochrome, but I assume that came naturally?

BTW, dont think that your fellow hogs didnt notice your avatar change! I kind of like the old ice-encrusted version of you better!
