Alone in her cell waiting........waiting for release into the warm air and sunlight with the sound of fat, juicy flies buzzing overhead.
Alas! Why did I ever kill my mate?

You always hurt the one you love....(sounds like a song in the making!!)...great shot of this evil little lady!!
Great impact in this, Bmac. I love it :)
Yep, agree with the others, this reached out and sends shivers up my spine Bmac. Not that it's an especially nasty looking spider, but your background is downright chilling. Good on ya Mate!

Excellent detail Bmac.
And Wow! This image really comes alive in download.
I really like the image in monochrome. It gives it impact.

Thanks Jim. This lady was actually very friendly and seemed truly sorry about murdering her mate, although she did say he tasted quite good.

Thanks Linda. I am wondering if it is a bit too light though and should be further darkened? 8-)

Great photo. I don't like most spiders. This reminded me why.

I imagine there's a lot of difference in brightness of folks' computer screens, but if you wanted to go even spookier... :)
Outstanding, Bmac! Halloween's still a week away, but you've moved it up with this one, lol. A terrifying image for sure.
Her sentence will likely be commuted, as no one liked her mate anyway.
