Hello, Im trying to work in Layers, and sometimes it says it is a Lock Position, not sure what this means, and need help with how to Un-Lock, Thanks, George

there is a little chain link between your layer and, say your layer mask etc., be sure that is unchecked to be free, or you can link everything and move it around "locked"

In Photoshop the background is locked. this keeps you from losing your info. If you click CTRL-J it will make a copy for you to work with. This lets you work non-destructivly.

Hi George.

I use PhotoShop 7. In case the previous suggestions did not work, my suggestion is to tap the enter key a few times to unlock a layer. That is the method I was taught to use, and it has always worked for me.

Hello Carol, Hmmmm, Very Interesting, I will try this method, Im in the early stages of what I would like to do, but so far I am amazed at what Elements can do, with some practice. Thanks, George
