OEM camera straps are not very comfortable in use. What brand/model aftermarket have you tried and recommend? Please list pros/cons. Thank you!

This is the strap I use on my cameras. Well made and affordable.

I like OP/TECH. Good selection, good products.

I have not found one I like. I bought the herringbone wrist strap which works great while you are actually shooting and it does not get in the way when mounting to your tripod, but if you are not shooting it gets heavy quick.
I carry the camera around in a light weight shoulder bag until I need it.

Me too. I use the sling strap and also have a tripod carry strap. Very comfortable, durable and well priced. An additional bonus is they are made in the US. ;)

I have the Black Rapid Sport. Love it. It's on my camera 24/7. I got the left handed even though I'm right handed.

For my "heavy-weight" camera (Oly E-5 with 50-200mm lens, just over 5 lbs), I got the Optech bino-cam harness:

It divides the weight of the camera over both shoulders, and I find it very easy to carry the camera for many hours at a time.

For the much lighter OM-D E-M1, I got the Pro-Loop strap. It has a neoprene shoulderpad - my brother (who is one of the fussiest brothers you can imagine) wanted one too - which solved the problem of what to get him for his birthday ;-)

I find Nikon OEM straps quite comfortable. The 1-1/2 inch wide center section spreads the load admirably.

You will find the OpTech straps to be the most comfortable straps you have even worn, and at a VERY good price too.
I have used them exclusively since 1982 and chose them as the only brand of strap to carry in my camera store. In addition, they all attach to the strap lugs of your cameras, where the manufacturers intended straps to attach.

I like the way all their pieces are interchangeable.

OPTech here too! Was out all morning with my D5200 and 55-300 Nikkor on one of their sling straps and was comfortable and felt secure about my camera the whole way. I did add Velcro to the clasp, since I only have it attached by one clip, as extra insurance. But from what I've read here, no one has ever had one of these clasps fail on them.

Me too and I have taken advantage of this depending on the lens I'm using (tripod foot or not) and whether I'm using a monopod or not.
