Over the weekend I had the opportunity to shoot a Volleyball Match at the local high school. They wanted some action shots and asked if I'd be willing to take a stab at it.

Here is a sampling of the action from Saturday. Note the gym is a black hole-- these were shot with a Nikon D800 and 70-200mm lens at 2.8 and 1/500 second. ISO was set at 2000.
Lights are sodium based and flicker interesting colors all throughout the match.

Thanks very much Gene. I always feel more pressure shooting this type of thing. If I miss a bird shot--the bird doesn't care. But if I miss a kid in their big game, they never get another chance. I am glad these came out this well for the girls.
