Trying different styles and photos.
Still not sure of the understanding of Bokeh.
Is this photo a good example of it?
Thanks
Dave
An
extreme bokeh example... Magnify the image.

Think of bokeh as a pleasant out of focus background that causes your main subject to stand out. In your photo, think of the people as your main subject and the trees behind as bokeh IF the people had been in focus and the trees out of focus.

jrb1213, I can see not what you mean when you say that I have a slightly out of focus background!
Thanks for the information too!

I don't know if I'd say that you are way off. Look at the trees in the background.
The background doesn't always have to turn to melted butter.
Mmmmm....butter....
All you are really looking for is some nice separation between the subject and the background.

One definition: pleasing, out of focus background that adds interest to the overall composition.
Bokeh is the character of out of focus areas. That doesn't mean it has to be pleasing. It can be harsh too.
It doesn't have to be background. The foreground can also be out of focus.
It hardly always adds interest to the overall composition, and often does the opposite.
Those characteristics are what we commonly want bokeh to exhibit, but often it doesn't doesn't happen that way.
