Good Morning...

Not sure if my title make sense or not but what I am looking for is an online service when I can upload my photos of events I shoot so that the client can go online and purchase what they want. I did look at one that was recommended collages.net but was looking to see if there were others so I could compare services and prices. I currently am shooting birthday parties for like 50 and 60...year olds that that want to remember this milestone in their life. Currently I shoot, crop, modify lighting if need be and place on CD/DVD and give to client with a nice label on it. Hopefully, would be able to make a little money on the purchase of the photos as well. Thanks in advance.

Check out Shootproof. I like to sell face to face for regular shoots and weddings (more profits), but for events, I do have a shootproof account. You can set your own pricing, they handle everything else, then send you the money. No commissions, just a flat rate. Free for up to 100 photos, then $10/month for up to 1500 photos. You can bounce back and forth between free and the paid, depending on if you have events or not during a certain 30 day period.

I use SmugMug. Does very well. You can create specific galleries for events, and even password-lock them so's no one can see the images un ess you send them the the PW.

bearwitme,

There are many options available on the internet, all have different packages and services.

I have selected FineArtAmerica to perform all my customer orders and shipping. They have two major advantages in their system:
1. You can sell your own photographs to anyone on the net on a public web site.
2. You can create catalogs of all your images and open all catalogs for ease of browsing, and you can set any catalog to private viewing with password access.

Once you create a catalog for private viewing, and populate the catalog with all the images for that catalog, you set a password. You then copy the URL for the catalog into an e-mail message to your customer and add the password.

Your customer, with password, is the only person who can order and purchase selected prints. The initial catalog display is in low resolution thumbnails. The enlarged page display also uses low resolution to prevent copy/print.
