Just returned from some fests in Germany, and the photos I like most are those of amusement rides at night. Each of these was post-processed to some extent.

These are very good. I understand your enthusiasm for the shots. I love to take night photos of amusements. It seems that the twirling swing ride is a favorite among photographers. Well done.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I know that there are photographers who think intentionally blurry and highly saturated photos to be heresy.

Thanks for viewing. I was halfway expecting some critical remarks from someone about blurred photos and over processing. For me, the photos are all about composition, motion, and color.

Probably best to not post a topic expecting the worst :) Enjoy when others appreciate your vision, and ignore the rest.

They are good, interesting shots Rhett but just out of curiosity, I'd like to see the originals...the colours and lights against a black sky would look pretty impressive I reckon... :-D

I would say that everything has its place. An amusement park is intentionally bright and hectic. Saturation and blur just goes with this subject. Especially after a few "Mas" beer.

The originals are not much different from those posted. I lightly adjusted exposure, increased contrast a bit, add some vibrance/saturation, and cropped them. One, I gave an lighten edge effect just for fun.

Or mas wine. We went to both a winefest in Neustadt, and beerfest in Stuttgart.
