I was watching this listing.

LEICA LEITZ FOCOMAT V35 NEGATIVE CARRIER
With Anti-newton Glasss
Item condition: Used
Ended: Feb 12, 201219:00:49 PST
Bid history:
20 bids
Winning bid: US $301.00

This is an insane price for a piece of plastic and a little glass. I am totally shocked. I just bought one of these in perfect condition WITH THE ENTIRE ENLARGER for the same price. Does this mean I should "part" it out and make some money?

I would never do that. I have been collecting, restoring, and using things all my life. I refuse to turn a good complete object into a pile of expensive parts, despite having to buy many parts over the years to complete my restorations.

Not much of a question here, more of a comment on Leica madness. I doubt I will ever get more Leica stuff. I prefer things I can afford. Any Leica people out there that can explain the "madness?"

It least it is Leica madness which is a cut above other "madness". I have two clippings by my "Diana" {got it in a $1 box at an auction with other junk) The first is for an ad giving a free 120 Diana camera with 8 gallons of gas. Gas was 30 cents a gallon. The other is for a Diana camera new in box and 4 more Diana Clones and another Diana. They went for $670. Go figure. - Dave
