Hi Dennis- It's funny I even asked my boyfriend yesterday " Guess what I got pictures of today.."he said a blue heron"
I don't no why they keep showing up for me ; but they keep presenting themselves. In the past five years I may have seen one. In two months time, he , she , or they are everywhere too and from work. The last "heron" didn't even flinch..I walked up to him/her slowly, took some photos and backed away as slowly as I came ..never even flinched. Maybe as cardinals to others ( which I do see often) Herons are their watching for me. Keep your eyes and mind open..they will be their ;)
Here is one more ..in yet a different location

If I might ask - where in New Hampshire. Most of mine were actually taken from my kayak at White Lake in Tamworth. I have a good one in flight from Homosassa Springs, Florida. I'm very new to this site and have yet to post any shots. I guess herons will be on my list.

Excellent set.
Thank you angler. I have been lucky lately being at a closer range to take a shot. Most were 200" plus away. This past week 50 to 75

The herons I have taken are in the Lakes Region of NH. Mostly Wolfeboro too Milton and along the way. I have been lucky seeing them this year off shore's, bridges, streams and swaps. I do not have a boat to enter into a different world of our wildlife; but hope to one day. Best of luck and hope to see you post your photos :D
Lovely. They look like watercolors.
