Woke up to rain, this morning. Do you know what this means to the drought stricken foothills of Northern California? It's life giving.
I had to go outside and breath it all in.
This was a branch on the Japanese Maple captured with my Nikon D5100 and a wide angle 10-24 lens.
Like it . Simplicity, and great color. Ed
Like your photo a lot i have a Nikon 5100 Sigma 10-20 f/4 and will be giving this kind of photography a go.

Finally!
Nice capture.
Hey, Douglass, "Finally" my @$$.... and I did it without the 105mm or a tripod. Pretty darn good... for a girl. LOL!
Thank you all for the nice replies. The Tamron 10-24mm 1:3.5-4.5 lens is a very good, ultra wide angle zoom lens that I bought for a waterfall workshop in Oregon last year. It's less expensive than the Nikon equivalent and, I think, it's just as good. We'll see about longevity.

I meant "Finally! RAIN!" I am a Californian as well.
A very pleasing sight..not only the photo but the rain..we jump for joy when we see rain in southern Oregon..

Oh, Douglass, I'm sorry. I'm always ready to defend myself. It never occurred to me that you were referring to the RAIN. I thought I was just on your "bazinga" list.
I'm truly sorry.
Great news and nice shot.

You ARE on my
