Hi, Sandra
What a peaceful scene. Nicely done.

This is the critique section .. so have at it folks. Don't be afraid to share your observations. If you're new, remember to comment on

Thank you. :-)
The moon is centered between the top and bottom of the frame and there is a ton of detail-less space on the left and bottom. I'd suggest you re-crop to a more rule of thirds like configuration to strengthen the composition and add impact. I see a rim on the left side of the moon. I don't know for sure if it is chromatic aberration or what. Have you noticed that artifact in similar shots? This could stand a little de-noising too. It seems to be a fairly well focused and exposed shot of the moon, which isn't the easiest subject. There are lots of possibilities.

More blue sky instead of black bridge?

Not sure how you would do it, but I like the exposure of the moon and sky, but I really want those silhouettes to stand out more.
Judy .. can you believe I didn't overexpose the moon. :-D LOL I think I can do that. If it works, I'll repost tonight ... I'm thinking of making the sky a bit lighter and lightening shadows a bit?

I thought I would tweak the backlit sky and show it to you. Any other suggestion for the Rest?

Hey Craig .. it looks like you know your way around sky shots ... your avatar ... Maybe you can tell me why my eclipse shot doesn't look like drcjc's shot. :-)

Your exposure was set to the brighter half of the moon and his exposure was set to the darker half.
I had the same problem not being able to get the whole moon, in that phase of the eclipse, to be in a pleasent view.
He could try a Graduated Filter in Lightroom to tone down the bright half of his photograph. Any comments from others?
I just tried it on one of my shots and the top half is just to blown out, no detail to work with.

Very nice NightSky I had to go back aways but I figured I'd find some Astro work from you . Is there more?

 Yeah ... I will post it later. I tried to get the
BIG moon if you know what I mean. I have a good plain old moon .. but not one with some foreground. My sihouette is in focus, but my moon is not and I have some horrendous chromatic aberration that I cannot get rid of. I used my Canon 6D and my Sigma 150-500 F5-6.3 to capture it. I'l put it in the astro section and let you people pick it apart.
