A search reveals a lot of posts on this topic. Maybe I just missed the one about compact hi-quality photo printers suitable for use in a little camper trailer. Can any of you vagabonds tell me what works for you and what specs I should be looking for? Thanx!

Can you provide so other information. Size limitation? Is AC power available, etc. Quality? There are many good, smaller printers out there, but only a few that can be run off battery power, and I don't know of one of those that is a good photo printer!
I believe something about the size of a briefcase (12"x18"x6"prox.) would be about right. If it was 110V. only that would be O.K. too. Single sheet feed and WiFi/USB/card reader connections should be there. Cartridges should be generally available. I would like a minimum of set-up and take down complications. Not sure about ink-jet or laser... Can't think of anything else except that first class reproductions are a must. It would probably be in use for several weeks on the road at a time. Thanks for the feedback.

Given your requirement that the output must be first class limits what's available, but I agree, why buy something that produces prints you hate. Although slightly larger, the Epson R2000 might fit the bill. Going up from there is the R3000. I suggest checking the prices of both before making your decision as the latter is not that much more than the former, given the current rebates. I'm not really familiar with Canons and I wouldn't want a lower end HP for photo work, although I do have three HP printers, just don't use them for photos! Hope this helps!
Thanks for the advice. I have accounts with a couple of office supply distributors. I'll see if they have Epson available. Thanks again.

You can purchase Epson from B&H, but it would not be shipped until Monday.

Two questions:
what are you willing to pay?
Will you be using it continuously?
What sizes (realistically) will you be printing?
I struck out with my distributor accounts so found the Canon PIXMA iP8720 at B&H for $254.99 which looks about right based on expected use, specs and user reviews. Opinions?
