In the present conflict one super jet flying at a great height takes out one truck with a multi million dollar missile.
They would do much better with an old Spitfire or Mustang flying low and spraying the soldiers with machine gun or cannon bullets and it would not only be more effective but a lot cheaper.

why are you surprised???? we spend $$$$$$$$$$ on Nikons and canons to shoot pictures just as easely done with a p&s or a bridge camera.

You may just have missed the reason for the existence of the Military Industrial Complex .....it's all about money, lots and lots of money.....not necessarily for you and me but for those who are at the top of both outfits!

I have often thought of that viscoundriver, I seem to remember the US military had helicopters that could spray whole areas (large and small) with cannon fire..perhaps they are too vulnerable to the new technology available now.

Because a Spitfire or Mustang fly's to slow and would be easy to knock down with RPG, the same with million dollar helo's. Using a million dollar missile on a 20 thousand dollar truck doesn't make sense either.

As long as the taxpayers are willing or let themselves be robbed and the fact that lives are a factor on our side .....if not to the gun traders.....at least to us the people, war will continue to escalate in cost!
