Amazon is offering an additional $400 off Adobe Photoshop CS5. Regular $600, Amazon price $614.31 less $400 makes it $214.31. Great deal if using code: T2QD-EYAS72-LRD665

This gives you an idea of how overpriced Photoshop is... What percentage of photographers uses even 50% of this software's capability? Just curious...
Unless you work for a company who offers their employees a discount on this software for personal use, I can't figure out why so many flock to it.

Probably because CS5.5 is out. Bill
CS5 isn't overpriced it is priced for it's capabilities which most of us don't need and that is why Elements exists.

When did photoshop cs5.5 come out? Adobe's website still shows cs5 as the most current Vernon.

If you truly understood its' capabilities and had the need for even 1/4 of them you would have the answer I believe.

CS 5.5 has been out for a few months already and CS 6 will be launching very soon, as in a few months or so, from what I heard from Scott Kelby at PhotoPRO 2012 seminar.
Photoshop latest version is CS5, not 5.5. I think you are confusing creative suite 5.5 with PS. The next version of PS will be CS6 and is expected to be out in a few months.
Hi All,
I got this code via email yesterday morning and was SO EXCITED to use it. I didn't realize it was a one time use, so I posted it on a forum about 20 minutes before I tried to use it. I got the complete run around from Amazon and they won't send me a new code. I'm so extremely disappointed. If anyone has one they aren't using, I would be forever grateful if you could send it to me
Thanks!

if you are a student at an acredited school or someone in your family is a student (course studying does NOT have to be photography related) you can get adobe software at education prices. also counts if you are an instructor.
I didn't want to use the student version for various reasons. a) I'm trying to be honest and I'm not an student b) you aren't allowed to use that version if you have a license and one day I'd like to get one and c) you can't upgrade it.
Thanks though :)
Heads up! The potential problem buying from third party is growing. If it sounds to good it is. eBay paid millions in fines supposedly knowing scammers were doing business on their site.
