To the lonely sea and sky
And all I ask is a tall ship
And a star to steer her by..."

Lonely says it all. Good luck steering though that pea soup. No sky. No stars. And not even a very tall ship.

And the silence isn't complete--a foghorn is wailing somewhere in the distance.

But I'd still rather be there than here!

Great shot. I used to have Christmas cards almost exactly like that.

The composition and exposure are perfect for me. I love the mystery of seeing nothing beyond the boats. Even the tarp color is pretty!

A beautiful little sailing boat waits for the fog to clear..... once it's lifted all aboard to enjoy a lovely day.

I just love the simplicity of this picture, the composition, the coolness I can feel, everything just right! Super shot.  :-)

Thanks, Linda. I value your opinions on these, and glad this one passed muster. A simple image, and the tarp gave a touch of color to keep it interesting.

Thanks for looking and your kind words. Always much appreciated!
