Done with the sx50. Just recently got my 150-600 but it rained so hard the night before that I didn't want to take a chance for it to get wet. Sx50 would be easier to protect so that's why I took it.

Terrific shots! Very enjoyable.
Curious why the date stamp?

I go on at least weekly bird walk (if not more) and have hundred of walks, and thousands of pictures. If for some reason a picture gets misplaced (Murphy's law) and the meta tag which doesn't go with copies, I know where it belongs and can go easily to it for what ever reason.
I place all my pictures in a folder of the date (yy/mm/dd )and location, then name all my pictures by yy/mm/dd and location by batch file; then with the original batch file name add a description -e.g. if birds - Nuthatcher or yellow Rump.
I can at any time crop the date out, or PP the date out of the original, so it is just a matter of another form of listing it. Besides I can quickly switch the camera to - not date it at anytime I want say for family pictures and I don't want a date on it.
I have pictures close to 50 years ago that on the back of them, I dated them and location and possibly names. Glad I did. Helps to remember. Can't remember some of the ones I didn't do that to.
Thanks for responding.

Nice pictures and a good job getting them. I used to live in Tucson for 3 years and I KNOW you aren't complaining about rain. ;-) Just teasing you. :-)
I want to see some photos with your new lens, when the weather clears for you. :-)

I will post.
I have had several pictures used in the Pima County Parks and Recreation flyers and brochures for Agua Caliente Park and Cienega refuge area with other lenses last year. So I must be doing something right with the other lenses. But can't wait to start regularly using the new lens.
:D :D :D :D  :) :)
