Pic didn't come all that great (forgot to adjust settings after parent/srs photo session), but can anyone guess which team might win the meet? My son is on the outside left of pic.

Hi twillsol, No he ended up 6th overall, his four teammates there and the kid in the red finished ahead.

As I tell my granddaughter, the main focus is to finish.
Winning is nice, but finishing is the goal.

How very true! The most impressive thing about these high school cross country races is the number of kids who go out there knowing there is no way they are coming close to winning but every week they complete the 3 mile run. Some of them so far behind that you wonder why they're there, but they are the real inspiration to some of their better teammates. watching the faster runners stick around the finish area to cheer on the final few is a great encouragement that some good is still in these youngsters

:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: My sons ran CC in HS (VV) and we loved watching how hard they tried to finish let alone win (they never did, but it was good training for BB). Looks like Prep won that meet. Thanks for showing.

Thanks Gene, yep Prep won as they have all year. They have a great squad this year. unfortunately for the team all 5 of those runners plus a 6th that was sitting out to nurse an injury are seniors. They're hoping for a strong showing at states
