For some reason, I get better photos of these birds when I under-expose a little. This was taken close to noontime.

Great shot of the Egret. When I shoot these white birds I use spot metering which should generally give you the proper exposure. I can adjust the (RAW) exposure in post processing if/when it does overexpose.

Nicely done :thumbup: I like the colors & @ noontime underexposing helps a lot with shots like this.

Yes! There are still quite a few around. Next, I'm hoping for another influx of Snowy Owls...the only reason to endure winter!!

Cool! I've never seen a Snowy Owl, but I do spend some time in the Vineyard in the winter also...I'll keep my eyes open for them!
