I can almost wrap my head around the size of Denali having seen Mt Rainier. But this must be the most incredible experience to be there in person. Your images are breathtaking, Mike.

Yep, you've got panoramic stitching down to a science - color, clarity and light balance were consistent throughout all the frames. Good work Sir!

Thank you very much Bob, glad that you liked them. None of these were stitched, I wouldn't even know how. Some were cropped to size and others were scanned from Fujichrome, I used a 35mm panoramic camera which took 36x72 mm. images.

Not meaning to be picky or anything, but the mountain is actually still named Mt. McKinley, but the national park is called Denali Nat'l Park and Preserve. However, that is a fantastic shot of "The Mountain," (as we call it up here), with the clarity and contrast between the white snowy mountain and the dry tundra.

Thank you very much, glad that you like the Mountain shot, it was a lucky break for me to hit it at the right time. I am well aware of the name Mt. McKinley but most people I talked too prefered Denali as they said Pesident McKinley never even set one foot on Alaskas soil so he doesn't deserves the mountain named after him. Denali is also easier to type.

Guess I'm just "old school." I've lived up here since 1951, so some stuff is just ingrained in me. Call me an "old fart," I suppose.
