The area where my cabin is in Tenn has a lot of barns and I love to shoot them

A lot of them are being restored, but not in their original state. There's big money in reclaimed old barn wood that's used in new "old" homes.
love your barn photos. we were in Tennessee in june and you are right, there are so many barns. wonderful to see, but sad they are falling down. we don't appreciate things till they are gone. sad to say. deb
What is it about old barns that we are all drawn to? Is it the unpainted wood juxtaposed with the surrounding greenery? Is it the vulnerable state of delapitation? Perhaps it is the appeal of a working structure in retirement.
