Barns--Old & Newer

This was taken along NJ Rt. 537 between Freehold & Mt. Holly, that covers a lot of territory, but I don't remember exactly where we were--south of IS 195, I think.

The contrast between the old and new barns caught my eye on the way north a couple of days before so I watched for them on the return. There are other old barns to the left & right, but I cropped them out so the rest of the picture would be larger. I could not see the origin of the pile of galvanized (?) siding at the right.

Except for that small patch of blue, the sky was as grey as it looks; that was fitting--we were on our way back from a family burial.

Works nicely. There are lots of photo ops along there. Well done.

Nice scene. Seems a little soft on my monitor.

Thanks, it may be a little soft; but I didn't notice it until enlarges ti to about 200%. I was parked 2/3 on the shoulder & 1/3 on the road about 200 yds away and used auto-focus, hand held. I didn't want to sit too long in that position on a country road--the wife was 'fretting' about it.
