Antirrhinum majus - Dragon Flowers, a.k.a. Snapdragons (9)

My wife planted this species of flowers last year but they didn't grow very tall. After seeing those that her brother's wife grew, she decided to give it a try again this year.

She planted a half dozen flowers in the spring. What she didn't know was that those from last year seeded themselves and we had an explosion of Snapdragons throughout the summer. Its now October and they are still blooming with new buds appearing despite the couple days of frost we've already had.

Here are some pics of this year's growth. Comments welcome.

Lucky you, Gene. We can grow snaps only in the cool seasons. Yours are beautiful and thriving. Gorgeous pictures.

I'd say they all look professional to me. I like the small insect in the first one, perfect focus and nice DOF.

:D Good eye, John! We had a hatch of grasshoppers when I shot these and the little ones were found all over. Glad you like these and thanks for looking.
