If you plan to take pictures of the eclipse on Wednesday, you might want to get up early tomorrow and scout a good location. I might do that, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I got up early today and took a couple of shots and hope to go see if I can get to the East side of a lake to take pictures of the eclipse reflected off the lake. Will post some tommorrow. These were taken with different f stops to see what happens to the moon

My brother just told me about some place out near Gainesville; some plain somewhere. He said it's advisable to take a gun, though, due to the gators (and not the U of F kind).

Sounds like my kinda' place...

why are you shooting at f/40 and f/18 at the moon?

I would knock it back to f/8 ish and bump up the shutter and/or reduce the iso

I believe you are talking about Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. Here is the info. Drive across it all the time on the way North. http://www.floridastateparks.org/paynesprairie/

I'm still trying to decide where I'm going.
My wife an idea that might work, just haven't decided yet.
